Letter: Do the right thing and vote for Kamala Harris

Each of us has a private moment in the voting booth before we make a mark for our chosen candidates. Even if you have told your friends and family you are voting for Donald Trump, even if you voted for him in 2016 and 2020, it is not too late to do what I think is the right thing and vote for Kamala Harris.
In that pause, please think of what another four years with Donald Trump in the White House would mean: His 2025 allies, his frenzied dance moves, his unhinged “policies,” his dangerous blather about working with dictators and how only he can stitch this broken world back together, his joy in getting away with lying and provoking chaos and, above all, simply not seeming to care about the woes and rights of anyone but himself.
If you’ve been in conversations with Trump supporters who believe and even mimic his cruel diatribes about how we need a strong man (i.e., strongman) to lead our country, you still have time. This is your opportunity to vote for Kamala Harris, someone who actually cares about all Americans, including you and the people you love.
